Andrea works with people of all ages who are struggling with eating issues & disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, severe mental illness, and other types of mental discomfort. Her therapeutic approach is client centered and strength based using cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic orientations. Building a trusting relationship is her basis for connecting and working together through life’s challenges. Warmth, humor and a basic belief in one’s ability to heal is vital to her work with clients.
Professional Experience
Andrea’s AMFT experience includes working with people of many ages, including teens, college students, young adults, couples, and families. As an associate MFT, she has been working in private practice and substance use recovery centers. She treats all people with genuine care and compassion without judgment. She is real, direct, and engaged.
Andrea has a diverse background of work and life experience. She has previously worked for high-tech companies including Apple as an expert in marketing communications. Her business experience taught her much about human behavior as well as managing for successful outcomes using coping skills, assertiveness, and good decision making. She has also practiced as a trained life coach which she weaves into her therapy practice when appropriate. In addition to work, her varied life experiences have given her a great understanding of working
successfully through life’s struggles and pain.
When she’s not working, she enjoys exercising, hiking, tennis, dance, and more.
