Lauren Timmerman, ACSW
Lauren Timmerman (she/her/hers) specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and family conflict. Her therapeutic orientation is holistic, strengths-based, rooted in cognitive-behavioral theory, and eclectic/integrative, or blended with additional approaches in order to best serve each client. Lauren provides evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), in conjunction with humanistic approaches to create an empathic, authentic, and supportive environment.
Professional Experience
Lauren most recently has experience working in residential eating disorder treatment with adolescents and their families, as well as prior experience in residential and outpatient mental health settings with both adolescents and adults. She is passionate about providing individuals and families with a safe space to share their needs, helping clients find and utilize beneficial, effective coping skills, and fostering optimal communication patterns within family structures.
