Katie Martin, LCSW

Kathryn (“Katie”) Martin is a generalist practitioner, working with youth and adults who present with various mental health issues. Her treatment approach is client-centered, using the treatment model(s) that best fit each individual.

Professional Experience

Katie has over 15 years of clinical experience in working with children, adolescents, and adult populations. She began her career as an outpatient therapist in a community mental health environment, providing both individual and group services. The opportunity to join the crisis-assessment team at the local hospital came about halfway into her career. Throughout her eight years at the hospital, she was able to grow professionally; at her exit she was Clinical Supervisor of her department. In addition to her own team, she supervised 7 Masters-Level social work students and was the site liaison for Indiana University Medical Center’s Third Year students during their psychiatric rotation. Katie currently provides individual counseling and grief group facilitation at a local non-profit cancer organization.

Services Provided

Katie provides individual therapy services to adolescents and adults in the State of Indiana, both in person and virtually. She enjoys working with a mixture of individuals and needs. She is currently in process of two separate trauma intervention certifications (TF-CBT and CFTSI) targeted specifically to the 7-17 year old population.
