Amanda Cobb, LMHC
Amanda Cobb treats individuals, couples, and families of all ages and specializes in the treatment of addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship issues. She collaborates with clients from a comprehensive approach to therapy through the exploration of spiritual, existential, social, emotional, and psychological aspects of life. Her integrative counseling approach utilizes solution focused therapy (focusing on strengths, resources, and coping abilities), exploring individual hierarchy of needs, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to track and understand the thoughts preceding their behaviors.
In Amanda’s free time, she enjoys spending time with family, anything outdoors, cooking, and going to the gym.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining The Chesnut Group, Amanda has worked in the mental health field for 8 years with a variety experience in outpatient treatment facilities for individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues and home-based therapy with families, couples, adolescents, and children. In the different levels of services she’s provided, she offered therapeutic intervention and support to individuals who shared similar diagnoses and/or problems. Amanda has worked with children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly from various walks of life, and considers it a blessing to help others recognize and reach their fullest potential.
